The Designated Director will be appointed for a two-year term by the Board at the first meeting following the Annual Meeting, after applications are solicited from a pool of applicants at least 30 days before the Annual Meeting.
In the solicitation for applications, the criteria for consideration must include a request for a description of how and why the Designated Director will serve as a representative of the citizens of Escambia County.
Designated Directors may serve multiple terms and must reapply and be reappointed for each term.
