On April 28, employees from Jupiter Bach and GE Vernova traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the American Clean Power Association’s Clean Power on the Hill event. The advocacy day brought together clean energy workers and industry leaders from across the country to meet with lawmakers and highlight the critical role renewable energy plays in local economies.

Representatives from the Pensacola-based wind energy manufacturers joined discussions with federal legislators and staff to share how renewable investment is directly fueling job creation in Florida. Together, Jupiter Bach and GE Vernova emphasized the need for continued support of renewable tax incentives and permitting reforms to safeguard and grow Florida’s clean energy workforce.

During meetings with leaders including Rep. Jimmy Patronis, Rep. Laurel Lee, Sen. Ashley Moody, and Rep. Kathy Castor, the team shared that wind energy manufacturing alone has created more than 2,000 jobs in the Pensacola metro area. They also highlighted recent investments—over $70 million by GE and $4 million by Jupiter Bach—that are strengthening the region’s position in the clean energy sector.

Statewide, renewable energy technologies have generated more than 20,000 jobs and attracted over $19 billion in asset investment.

By sharing their stories on Capitol Hill, these industry leaders and workers underscored the real-world impact of clean energy and the importance of policies that help this vital sector thrive.
