A $4.2 million expansion of an Escambia County manufacturing facility marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
Jupiter Bach, manufacturer of covers for wind turbines, will cut the ribbon on its new facility on July 31.
The project includes an additional 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space, designed to accommodate growing customer demand and support the development of next-generation production systems. The new space features advanced crane technology and enhanced safety infrastructure to create a secure, efficient work environment.
Sean Guidry, Jupiter Bach Pensacola general manager, said his team is excited about what this means for their partners, their customers and the Pensacola-Escambia County community.
“This investment is not only a physical expansion, but a strategic one — aimed at improving our capabilities and supporting our team with the tools they need to succeed,” said Guidry.
In tandem with the expansion, the company has introduced takt time-based production systems to align manufacturing output more closely with customer demand. The lean production approach minimizes waste, enhances predictability and improves responsiveness.
Additional upgrades include the introduction of point-of-use warehousing, which positions materials and components directly where they’re needed on the production floor. This improvement reduces handling time, boosts efficiency and allows team members to focus on delivering high-quality products with fewer interruptions.
“This is a major step forward in how we serve our customers and support our employees,” Guidry added. “We’re building a smarter, safer, and more agile operation for the future.”
Chris Platé, CEO of FloridaWest, said Jupiter Bach’s significant investment shows their commitment to Pensacola and Escambia County.
“This investment reinforces Jupiter Bach’s long-term vision: building a safer, smarter, and more responsive manufacturing environment with more capabilities,” said Platé. “We’re excited about what this means for the future of our community.”
